We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Located in the heart of Brisbane, this role offers the opportunity to lead complex hydraulic engineering projects while contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions across diverse sectors.With solid local experience, you have a strong design understanding, are team and delivery focused and have a positive attitude and passion for growth.You have exceptional hydraulic experience, significant project management ability, thorough technical understanding and you are confident communicating with clients, business partners and contributing to our team success culture.About you8+ years experience in Australian building services, ideally in consulting.Bachelors degree in mechanical or civil engineering highly regarded.Solid experience in Hydraulic services engineering concept to construction completion.Extensive experience with complex hydraulic services engineering concept to construction completion.Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Code of Construction.Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline discipline projects including managing client expectations.An agility to move between different tasks and projects and manage multiple priorities, including strong time management.Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both technically and non-technically.Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, project team and internal teams.Passionate about mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.Tertiary qualification in Engineering.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven project, organisation and time management skills.Use latest technology REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite including Office and One DriveRevit design and modelling experience highly regarded.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver detailed design for all elements of hydraulics, including hot & cold water, sanitary plumbing & drainage, storm water drainage, gas services, fire services, domestic wastewater treatment systems.Maintain a technical understanding and knowledge base in hydraulics.Carry out design calculations and return briefs, whilst working to project timelines and budget.Direct client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.Carry out project administration such as scheduling, estimating and report preparation.Problem-solve complex design challenges, delivering great solutions for our clients.Project involvement through all phases, from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.Routinely demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, project team and internal teams.Direct client engagement throughout a project lifecycle.Hands on mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.Calculations and return briefs.Multi-discipline team coordination and project managementClient/ design meetings and site inspectionsSatisfy codes, standards, project and quality requirements.What We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Support for ongoing professional associations and memberships.Exposure to diverse and challenging projects.The opportunity to showcase your talent.Bespoke office in the heart of the CBD.About usBuilding Services Engineers is a dynamic, client focused professional engineering firm with an established reputation for delivering a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, aged care and government sectors (to name a few).
