Your next opportunity:Boral Quarries are actively seeking a strategic & people focused Quarry Manager to oversee our North Brisbane Quarry.Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead all functionalities of the Quarry, specifically focusing on P&L (experience), Cost Control, Processing Knowledge, Production Planning, Drill and Blast and the Customer experience.You will play a key role in partnering with our internal stakeholders and the wider community to drive meaningful relationships. Your well-developed commercial acumen will see to your success in identifying areas of cost efficiencies, growth and process improvements.Your day will involve:Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomesEffective management of daily operations, delivering on agreed priorities of cost control and production in line with quality, budgeting and forecastsWorking with the Sales team to deliver the sites revenue expectationsPeople leadership - hands on management of staff and contractorsEnsuring the site is in line with current licencing, consents and regulatory requirementsContributing to the strategic planning and execution of short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenanceWhat are we looking for?5 years experience in mining or quarryingStrong Knowledge of the Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health Act & RegsStrong Knowledge of Pit planning, Slope Stability and Quarry Geotechnical AwarenessStrong Knowledge of hard rock quarrying and crushing processesAbility to understand a P&L, plan and manage a budget.Proven leadership experience in Quarrying Operations or MiningStrong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they ariseExperience developing and managing budgets including controlling expenditure and costs will be highly regardedExperience in LEAN Manufacturing will be highly regardedAppropriate Quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary qualifications #J-18808-Ljbffr
