Specialising in the delivery of a wide range of quality social services including aged care, disability care, counselling, psychology, family relationship support and mediation and domestic and family violence response.CatholicCare Central Queensland offers diverse and rewarding careers in busy and dynamic environments.Primary ObjectiveThe Team Leader Group Activities & Transport is responsible for the effective delivery of Groups and Transport services within CatholicCares Community Care Program. This key leadership role is supported by the General Manager Health and Wellbeing Services and other Support functions to support the delivery of transport and social support group services that meet (and exceed) quality standards, operate within budget and align the Missions and Values of CatholicCare.This role will establish partnerships across the region and identify new opportunities for further business development. A key aspect of this role will be to ensure services offered by CatholicCare meets the needs of local communities.This position does not exceed 20% direct client contact time and primary responsibilities include: Ensure business development activities are developed, implemented, and maintained by identifying continuous improvement opportunities and enhancing and promoting Group and Transport Services. Day to day operational management of the programs including line management of all Group Activity and Transport staff for the region. Ensure all relevant policies and procedures meet the legislative, funding, and organisational requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor program budgets and operational plan, and complete regular reporting to relevant line manager. Build the team culture with an emphasis on the mission and values of CatholicCare and ensuring every worker, client and stakeholder is treated with dignity and respectQualifications and Experience Mandatory - 12 months minimum experience and knowledge in providing Group and Transport services and/or Community Care service delivery to clients. Bachelors degree in relevant field of study (desirable) Experience in leading a team including both direct and indirect reportsCore Competencies Professional communications skills with internal and external stakeholders and responding to complaints as per organisational procedures. Understanding of program outputs and requirements. Comprehensive understanding of the Fair work Act and relevant industrial instruments (National Employment Standards, Award) Leadership qualities and individual values that align with the organisation. Competent in the use of computersOther Requirements Exercise judgment and initiative where procedures are not clearly defined.
