The Engineer Planning Production is responsible in ensuring the mine plan is executed to plan and when necessary, will make adjustments to the plan that are consistent with the objectives of the operation.This role is being offered on a 8:6 roster.A day in the life may include:Create, implement, and reconcile daily and weekly mine plans that align with the broader monthly strategy, ensuring consistent execution across all planning horizons. Proactively identify and communicate variances from the monthly mine plan, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Build strong, purposeful relationships with key stakeholdersincluding Mine Operations, Maintenance, Processing, FMS, Geology, Survey, and Geotechnical teamsto drive plan execution and shared success. Champion the mine plan through clear communication, active engagement, and feedback sessions. Provide informed updates to senior leadership and address risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies. Oversee the design and implementation of essential infrastructure such as dumps, stockpiles, ramps, and roads, ensuring compliance with LOM designs and site standards through hands-on field reviews and collaboration with Mine Operations.Review, approve, and schedule geotechnical field work to support safe and effective mining operations. Take a proactive leadership role in day-to-day operationsguiding, directing, and reviewing team activities to ensure key tasks are executed to a high standard.About you:You will ideally hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent qualification and Mine Engineering experience in an open pit environment with a track record of contributing to effective operational outcomes. Your proactive mindset and a strong desire to apply and grow your technical knowledge to continuously improve processes, safety, and performance will see you thrive in this role along with your confidence in navigating complex systems and turning data into actionable plans.
