This enables our customers to make data-driven decisions that significantly impact their profitability and sustainability.About the RoleYou''ll be crafting intelligent IoT solutions that have a meaningful impact on businesses across energy, buildings, and industrial sectors. The role will encompass the following key responsibilities:Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and work backward to create compelling, effective IoT solutions that drive measurable business and sustainability outcomes.Take part in the entire life cycle of IoT solution development. This includes system design, hardware integration, data stream management, and implementing algorithms that turn raw data into actionable insights.Work with Product and Technology teams to ensure the solutions deployed are repeatable, reliable, secure, and meet customer-specific performance benchmarks.Clearly articulate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders within the team and among client organisations.Act as a subject matter expert in IoT technologies, cyber security, networking, and solution architecture. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.Rapidly diagnose, reproduce, and fix technical issues in deployed systems. Ensure that any lessons learned from the resolution process are fed into product development.Proactively identify technical risks and bottlenecks that could impact project timelines or customer satisfaction and communicate these clearly to the team.Prepare and review internal and external documentation, including system architecture diagrams and customer guides.Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the IoT space, and be prepared to innovate and adapt as part of our fast-paced, results-driven team.Connecting and collaborating with the other teams across the organisation to help drive better outcomes for projects.Helping team members from immediate and neighbouring teams to identify opportunities to learn new skills and develop better solutions.Commissioning equipment in the field as part of project delivery and troubleshooting, diagnosing and remediating issues in the field with deployed systems.Deliver training to clients.About YouThis role is an intermediate-level position, ideal for those with a solid professional attitude, aptitude, and dedication to IoT engineering. To be successful, you will need to possess the following:Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in Linux system administration, including system setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with platforms such as Docker is highly desirable.Strong foundational knowledge in networking principles and technologies, including TCP/IP and setting up and managing corporate networks.Experience in specialized domains such as smart utility metering, energy management systems (EMS), building management systems (BMS), electric vehicle charging and load control.Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrable ability to understand customers'' specific challenges and craft tailored IoT solutions to meet those needs, with a track record in customer satisfaction.Skills in rapid diagnosis and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and system maintenance, with expertise in resolving hardware and software issues.A commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in networking, system administration, and IoT technologies.Hands-on experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell.We''re looking for a new team member who is passionate, understanding, interested and dedicated to working effectively with a diverse teamsomeone who will help us strengthen the positive and inclusive culture we have.We''re passionate about supporting the needs of our people and their families.
