Be a part of it, lets get something started.About The RoleThe Strategic Land Use Planning Team plays a key role in planning for the future urban development of the Campbelltown Local Government Area including Greenfield land, urban centres and urban renewal; and aims to ensure best practice environmental, infrastructure and social outcomes are achieved. In addition, the team develops planning strategies relating to housing and employment.We are currently seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to join our team on a permanent full-time basis 35 hours per week. In this role you will be involved in assessing and preparing planning reports for a wide variety of strategic land use and planning proposal applications, undertaking amendment to development control plans and providing support to the team in the development of planning strategies.The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:Degree in Town/Urban & Regional Planning or other appropriate Town Planning qualifications.Extensive Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policies including applicable federal, state, Council laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.Extensive job related experience in Strategic planning.Highly developed interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.Effective analytical and innovative problem solving skills and a highly developed ability to interpret relevant legislation.Computer literacy and excellent report writing skills.Current class C Driver Licence.Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.
