It is responsible for providing and managing the corporate WHS governance framework to ensure reportability of legislative, safety and process compliance, delivery of strategic objectives and overseeing safety training and the wellbeing of all workers to name a few things.Safety is one of the key objectives for the CEO and his commitment, and the focus of the organisation in this space, drives our commitment of Safe, Supported and Strong at the City.Why Youll Love This RoleYoull be the Citys go-to WHS expert, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and working closely with the CEO and Executive Team.This is your chance to drive and implement a critical framework for safetyembedding WHS into our culture, systems and everyday practice. Youll lead a small, passionate team of WHS corporate officers who operate within a WHS Business Partner model, working across all directorates to make safety real, visible and valued.What Youll Be DoingLead and manage WHS strategy and governanceAdvise on compliance, risk and due diligenceInfluence & develop leadership capability and commitmentOversee incident reporting and investigationsDevelop health and wellness initiativesDeliver WHS training and educationLead WHS projects end to endBuild strong relationships across the City at all levels and externallyProvide advice in procurement processes such as tenders and contractor managementWhat Youll BringWere looking for a qualified and experienced WHS professional whos passionate about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces.
