If you are looking for a position that combines responsibility, teamwork, and professional growth, this could be the perfect next step in your career.What you''ll do:Process end-to-end payroll functions accurately and efficiently across multiple employing entities, ensuring all payments are made on time.Maintain comprehensive employee records in accordance with instructions provided by HR or Industrial Relations teams, safeguarding data integrity at all times.Review pay journals and reports meticulously to confirm that all employees receive correct payments, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.Collaborate closely with other payroll team members to achieve shared objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes for the business.Prepare detailed banking packs for approval, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.Interpret enterprise agreements (EAs) and implement their requirements within the payroll system, providing clarity on complex award conditions.Import time data into payroll systems and review retroactive transactions to ensure accuracy in historical adjustments.Participate actively in training sessions and upskilling initiatives designed to enhance both individual capability and overall team performance.Communicate clearly with peers, managers, site administrators, and HR contacts both verbally and in writing to facilitate smooth operations.Support change initiatives within the business by adapting processes as required and sharing knowledge openly during team discussions.What you bring:Demonstrated experience in roles requiring a high degree of numeracy, ideally within a payroll or finance function where accuracy is paramount.Proven ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.Strong analytical skills combined with critical thinking abilities that enable you to identify issues quickly and propose effective solutions.Previous experience with key payroll systems such as Preceda or Dayforce would be highly beneficial.A collaborative approach that allows you to work effectively within teams while also providing support when asked by others.Experience maintaining confidential employee records in line with organisational policies or regulatory requirements.Understanding of enterprise agreements (EAs) or industrial awards as they relate to payroll processing is highly desirable but not essential.Willingness to participate in ongoing training sessions aimed at enhancing both technical skills and broader business understanding.What sets this company apart:This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued.
