Job Description

The Joint Parliamentary Service Committee (JPSC) is a Standing Committee of the Parliament, comprising the President of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, and two Members from each House. It oversees the administration of the Joint Parliamentary Service (JPS) Divisions, including the Parliamentary Library Division, Catering Division, Hansard, and the Joint Services Division (which includes the Parliamentary Network Support Group, People and Culture, Finance, and Building Services).The Office of the Executive Officer is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Joint Parliamentary Service, implementing organizational strategies, managing improvement projects, engaging with other parliamentary leadership roles, and providing secretariat services to the JPSC and the Management Advisory Committee (MAC).This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, diligent, and dynamic individual to join the Parliament of South Australia.About the RoleThe Executive Support & Project Officer is part of the Office of the Executive Officer within the JPS of the Parliament of South Australia.The position reports to the Executive Officer, JPS, and provides comprehensive administrative and project support to the JPSC and the Office of the Executive Officer JPS. Responsibilities include:Providing effective secretariat support for the JPSC and MAC, including preparing meeting packs, managing correspondence, and taking minutes.Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence with quality assurance for responses to parliamentary committees, agencies, and Members of Parliament.Conducting minor research and project work.Managing diaries, prioritizing urgent enquiries, and resolving issues collaboratively with stakeholders.Supporting coordination activities such as invoice payments and procurement.Special ConditionsThis role is classified as a position of trust and requires a satisfactory criminal history check.The incumbent must:Hold a current drivers license and be willing to drive as needed.Refrain from political activity or electoral involvement.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Be prepared for intra/interstate travel, including overnight stays.Participate in the Parliaments Performance Development Plan and meet agreed performance targets.Be adaptable to other positions at the same remuneration level across Parliament if required.Application InstructionsAll applications must be submitted online by 11pm on 8th August 2025.Unlock job insightsSalary, number of applicants, skills match.Your application will include questions about your right to work in Australia, project officer experience, police check, administration experience, and invoicing experience.Include any relevant details if reporting this job ad as fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
