Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Mining Engineers key responsibilities include supporting planning process of the operation and assisting with the coordination, planning, design and compliance of mining activities in accordance with the safety health management system. A day to day for you may look like;Champion medium-term mine planning (312 months): Develop, update, and communicate actionable mine plans.Collaborate across disciplines: Align plans with shortterm planners, geologists, operations, and environmental and safety teams.Optimise operations: Use Vulcan, Deswik, Leica FMS, MinVu for pit designs, dump scheduling, and haulage analysis.Drive efficiency: Identify productivity enhancements and cost-saving opportunities.Communicate with impact: Prepare reports and present planning insights to management and stakeholders.Develop talent: Mentor junior engineers and champion continuous improvement.Your knack for teamwork, stakeholder engagement, and innovative problem-solving will be key to success.About YouWere looking for someone with:A relevant tertiary qualification5+ years of mining engineering experience, preferably in opencut coal operationsProficiency in Vulcan, Deswik, Leica FMS, MinVuStrong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skillsA safety-first mindset and ability to foster positive workplace cultureFlexibility to work autonomously and collaborativelyJust as importantly, we''ve worked hard to make sure you feel valued.
