It would be suitable for someone already at client manager level, or a driven supervisor/assistant manager looking to step up into a leadership position with specialist responsibilities in SMSFs.Youll be working closely with our leadership team to onboard and manage a portfolio of SMSF and business clients, while developing and mentoring your team to deliver exceptional service. You will also help drive strategic insights and compliance outcomes in the SMSF space, and play a pivotal role in enhancing our specialist offerings.We are searching for someone who is passionate about the SMSF sector and is looking for a long-term future with a progressive and culture-driven firm.The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary package that reflects their technical capabilities, leadership potential, and experience within the SMSF and broader accounting space.About The Role:Review work performed by staff members in your team - specifically strategyPreparation of business advisory reports including cashflow projectionsMentoring and training accountants in your teamPreparing and lodging SMSF annual returns and regulatory reportingProviding strategic advice on SMSF investment and administrationAssisting clients with the establishment of SMSFsStaying up-to-date with changes in SMSF legislation and best practicesLiaising with clients and building strong client relationshipsSkills and experienceMinimum 5 years experience in a public practice accounting firm, with a focus on SMSFs, compliance and advisory services.Proven client communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients across a range of accounting and tax matters.Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS end-to-end at a high standard, with minimal review required.A moderate to high level of technical tax and compliance knowledge (e.g., Div 7A, GST, CGT, income tax legislation), and the ability to explain these clearly and simply to clients.Experience in training and reviewing the work of junior team members, including tax returns, BAS, tax planning reports and advisory deliverables.A solid understanding of business advisory and tax planning strategies, including structuring advice, capital gains tax, small business concessions and wealth-building strategies for SMSF and SME clients.Strong working knowledge of BGL and XeroCheck Us OutPictures say 1000 words but videos say more.Check out our Instagram @newwaveaccountants to get a feel for the culture and recent awards!We have also uploaded a video below so you can hear it directly from our staff.New Wave is a full-service Accounting & Bookkeeping Practice that is growing FAST!
