We also value and celebrate diversity, recognising the strength it brings through different ideas, experiences, and perspectives.About the OpportunityThe Social Programs Team Leader leads and manages a centre-based respite service that provides quality care and support for ageing clients some living with stages of cognitive impairment.This role involves comprehensive day program operations, encompassing the facilitation of client intake and admissions, assessment and care planning that addresses individual client needs and preferences with a focus on enablement and meaningful participation.With strong team leadership capabilities, you will guide staff development, manage referral pathways with both internal and external stakeholders, and maintain operational standards while driving continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service outcomes.About YouYou will possess mature leadership and management skills with demonstrated experience in supervising teams and coordinating complex operational activities within healthcare or aged care environments.You will have comprehensive experience and understanding of person-centred care principles and behavioural management techniques within dementia care and cognitive impairment across the aged-care or disability sectors.Additionally, you will demonstrate specialised knowledge of assessment processes, care planning, and therapeutic interventions that promote enablement and meaningful participation for our clients.Diploma in Nursing, Aged Care, Disability or Community Services.Minimum 2 years in Aged Care, specifically in Dementia Care.Minimum 2 years experience in leading teamsSenior First Aid Certificate & CPRNational Police ClearanceSA Drivers LicenceQualifications in leadership or managementSome Perks for YouAs part of a not-for-profit organisation, you will be able to salary package up to $18,549 per year to reduce your tax.You will be provided with full training and support including all equipment that is required to succeed in this role.If you need more reasons to join ECH, have a look through our website to see the amazing ways in which we support ageing South Australians.Applications close: Friday 1st August 2025Please note we will be reviewing applicants as they come in and will act quickly to secure the right person.
