Strategic Account Executive (Public Sector)Sydney, AustraliaOur Strategic Account Executives target and close new business with Datadogs largest, most strategic customers and prospects. In this role, youll focus on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale, and delivering the appropriate Datadog solution.At Datadog, we value our office culturethe relationships and collaboration it fosters, and the creativity it inspires. We operate as a hybrid workplace to help our Datadogs achieve a work-life harmony that suits them best.What Youll Do:Prospect into the public sector in the ANZ North territory (NSW, QLD, NT) while managing an efficient sales process.Maintain, build, and own relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and potential contacts.Develop a deep understanding of customer businesses.Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by emphasizing value and ROI.Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth within your territory.Demonstrate resourcefulness when facing challenges that are not easily solved.Identify the necessary steps to close business and secure customer validation.Identify key business drivers behind all opportunities.Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency.Who You Are:Have 8+ years of closing experience, including enterprise field selling.Have met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+ and managed deals averaging $100k+ ARR.Can demonstrate methodology for prospecting and pipeline development independently.Experience working for innovative tech companies (SaaS, IT infrastructure, or similar preferred).Experienced in selling into the Australian public sector with a track record of winning new logos.Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.Datadog values diversity and encourages applicants from all backgrounds.
