Every day we enable more people to takeoff to more places, more often.As the Test Lead / Lead Tester, you will oversee and manage the testing activities across one or more medium sized projects. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through effective test planning, coordination, and execution of testing strategies across defined project deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, hands-on testing experience, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional team across the Operations Technology Flight Operations space.The ideal candidate would have worked on web and mobile applications, highly integrated systems, digitisation of paper-based processes, and roster bidding initiatives. Preferably, the candidate would have experience in aviation or interconnected industry or similar initiatives in the operations space.Key responsibilities include:Review business requirements, process maps, and user stories to develop detailedtest plans, schedules, status reports, and summary documentation.Collaborate closely withbusiness users, analysts, developers, test managers, andproject/product managersto align on project goals and testing requirements.Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes effectively toproject stakeholders at all levels and across the Airline Ops Domain.Lead and facilitatedefect triage meetings, ensuring timely resolution of issues in coordination with project teams.Plan, coordinate and supportUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)and PVT activities, including planning, execution, and reporting with business and project stakeholders.Participate indesign reviews, offering insights on requirements, product design, and potential risks.Analyse software requirements and user stories to createcomprehensive test scenarios and test cases.Maintain accurate and up-to-datetest documentation, including plans, cases, and execution reports.Log and track issues in accordance with the projectsdefect, problem, and issue management protocols.Create, manage, and document defects usingXray (Jira), ensuring traceability and resolution.What You Will Bring:Over 5 years of experiencein similar roles within large, complex projects.Proven test leadership or lead tester and communication skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.Hands-on experienceworking in matrixed environments usingAgile, hybrid, and scaled methodologies, and between project and test capability teams.Strong prioritization abilitieswith arisk-based testing mindsetto ensure critical coverage.Skilled indeveloping and executing comprehensive test strategies, includingUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)plans and schedules.Preferably experienced inaviation-related systems, such ascrew rosteringandturn management systems.Effective communicator, adept at engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Highly adaptable, thriving in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in test design, execution, and reporting.Collaborative team player, with strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across vendors, business units, and technical teams.Excellent time management, capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Aviation experience would be desirable for this role.Your Life At Jetstar Is Unlike Any Other..Live the travel dream: You and your nominated travel companions can take-off more with our famous Qantas Group Staff Travel discount.Make work feel like a holiday: Join a fun, driven team where work feels like a holiday.
