Specifically focused on Microsoft Purview, you will lead the configuration, deployment, and implementation of best practices. Your role will ensure adherence to governance policies while supporting critical scenarios and use cases that drive our strategic objectives forward.For more information, please visit us online: Insights and Analytics UnitYou willlead the implementation of Microsoft Purview as UniSCs central data governance platform, helping unlock the power of our data in smart, strategic, and responsible ways;bring together technical know-how and business insight to modernise how we manage data, connecting systems and streamlining scanning through a collaborative, university-wide approach;partner with colleagues and vendors to deliver a smooth, well-supported rollout of Microsoft Purview, sharing knowledge, solving problems, and making it stick for the long term; andconfigure and connect Microsoft Purview across our systems to map, classify, and trace data assets, giving us a clear, governed view of our data landscape.About youYoure someone who thrives on turning complex data challenges into meaningful solutions that empower others. If youre ready to make your mark by blending innovation with collaboration, we encourage you to apply.You will possess:Solid technical skills in data engineering and architecture, with hands-on experience deploying and using Microsoft Purview.Confidence in SQL and Python, along with strong knowledge of data-centric tools that support and enhance the Microsoft Purview environment.The ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships, translating complex data concepts into plain, actionable language for a range of audiences.Strong project and people skillsyoure organised, solutions-focused, and able to manage priorities and challenges, particularly when leading Microsoft Purview implementations.A strong grasp of data governance practices, including cataloguing, quality, security, and privacy, and experience applying these in a Purview context.Familiarity with data profiling and mining techniques to support trusted, high-quality data and stronger governance outcomes.Experience working with data management tools in Microsoft Azure.An understanding of Purview and experience implementing data governance frameworks is desirableUniSC is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
