$70,000 $90,000 per year based on experienceReady to lead from the front and deliver world-class ocean events?The Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Event Operations & Logistics Manager to oversee our physical event delivery from warehouse preparation to beach setups and everything in between.This role is ideal for someone who is actively involved in logistics operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring our event series maintains high standards, through professional and efficient setups across five major live events, along with administrative and logistical support for smaller events.About the RoleThis is a physically demanding, practical leadership role that also requires strong coordination and planning skills. Your responsibilities will include:Pre-Event (Warehouse + Planning):Preparing, testing, and repairing event equipment such as audio systems, signage, marquees, beach flags, and staging.Creating accurate, streamlined packing lists and ensuring labels are clear for each zone.Maintaining an organized warehouse to prevent missed or duplicated items.Coordinating infrastructure, vehicle logistics, AV equipment, and activation gear.Assisting in recruiting and coordinating event officials, water safety personnel, and volunteers (training provided).Event Weeks (On-Site):Being first to arrive and last to leave, leading bump-in and bump-out operations.Managing a small team of staff, volunteers, or casual workers to ensure the beach looks professional and operations run smoothly.Leading infrastructure setup including athlete check-in, back-of-beach areas, sponsor activations, race zones, and crowd areas.Ensuring a clean pack-down, proper labeling, and readiness for subsequent events.Post-Event:Restocking gear, identifying issues, and preparing infrastructure for the next event.Reporting and collaborating with the Event Manager to improve processes.What Youll NeedExperience in event operations, logistics, or site management.Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding timing, equipment quality, and presentation.Leadership skills to manage a team and keep everyone focused during busy bump-in/out periods.Ability to handle spreadsheets and sign-off sheets alongside physical setup tasks.Willingness to perform physical tasks such as loading gear, setting up marquees, and troubleshooting AV equipment.Bonus Points For:Forklift or truck licenses.Experience with surf sports, AV technology, event infrastructure, or live productions.Strong communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel.The Details:Contract: August 2025 to late February 2026.Average 38 hours/week, with increased hours during event weeks and scaled-back hours afterward.Location: Based on the Gold Coast, with travel to major beach events in Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and NSW.Pay: Based on experience.This role is ideal for someone seeking ownership and pride in their work.If being at the heart of a nationally broadcast sporting series and ensuring everything looks world-class excites you, we would love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
