Join to apply for the Senior Rail Operations Project Manager role at HDR.HDR is seeking a Senior Railroad Operations Project Manager who will:Develop operating plans for freight and passenger rail projectsCreate and deliver planning documents, reports, and presentations describing rail operationsAdvise and mentor Rail Traffic Controller (RTC) modelers, support RTC model input development, and analyze outputsProvide rail operations expertise to internal teamsAct as the primary contact with clients, maintaining HDRs reputationMaintain relationships with freight and public agency officialsParticipate in industry associations and eventsLead proposal development effortsEnsure quality, scope, schedule, and budget adherenceThe candidate should have experience in freight rail planning, understand traffic patterns, operating practices, regulations, and industry needs. Excellent communication skills are essential.Preferred qualifications include broad knowledge of U.S. and Canadian freight rail operations, experience in railroad operations or planning, 15+ years in the industry, understanding of passenger rail interactions, and experience with project documentation and grant applications. Knowledge of RTC modeling is a plus.Travel may be up to 50%.
