We appreciate your diligence in this process and look forward to your participation.IntroductionArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit Maintenance Junior Managers.Direct, coordinate and lead the plant team in executing planned maintenance work and ensuring timely execution of identified work within the constraints of available resourcesEnsure that maintenance work is identified through inspections, condition monitoring,predictive maintenance, detective inspections, usage-based tasks, ad hoc requests,RCAs and breakdownsAnalyse the resulting work identified and gate keep work that becomes part of themaintenance work backlog to ensure that the right work for maximising equipmentreliability, safety and performance remain in focusManage, prioritise, review and update work backlog based on plant priorities andreliability needsManage opportunity work backlog and capitalise on work execution opportunitiesSupport the Maintenance Manager in the planning, scheduling and coordination of shutdowns and planned stoppagesSupport the Maintenance Manager in establishing a positive Culture in area of responsibilityIdentify reliability needs of the plant that require progress development and that cannot be resolved through ordinary maintenance practices and enhancementsUnderstand and support the priorities of the plantEnsure that quality of work done by his team is to standard to improve plant reliabilityCoordinate and manage breakdowns/equipment failures/unplanned stoppages.Manage safety and permits, related to all work performed on plant, and ensure safetyprocedures are followed for the safety of all stakeholdersManage Isolation and Lock-out for all work performed on plant equipment.Ensure that all stakeholders in area of responsibility, adhere to AMSA safetyproceduresEnsure that all work order comments, and job card feedback is completed, of goodquality and critical information captured on relevant platformsManage closure of work orders and verify completeness and accuracy of work order informationEnsure that potential failure risks discovered, during execution of work, are identified and becomes part of the maintenance work backlogForm part of Management of Change process through initiating requests regardinghanges to procedures, work orders, EMPs, parts, specifications and drawings, and coevaluate requests for changesDefine, organise and implement after care and follow-up plans for equipmentEvaluate the quality of work planning and recommend changes and improvementswhere applicableCoach, train, lead and develop IDPs for personnel developmentPromote a Continuous Improvement culture focussing on improving the KPIs i.e.,improve plant reliability and performance, no health/safety/environment incidents and reducing costsQualification:National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Technical FieldStructured Junior Management Development Program will be advantageousExperience and Requirements:Minimum 5 years post training experience in Maintenance environmentPractical problem solving in repairing and assembling equipmentPractical experience in Work Identification and improving equipment reliabilityProven experience in breakdown and shutdown planning, scheduling, coordination and exutionBasic understanding of equipment reliability and execution practicesUnderstand the significance of equipment reliabilityUnderstanding of different failure modes of equipmentSound knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and their functionsSound knowledge of trades and the use of special toolsAMSA Safety, Health & Environmental systems and practicesPersonal Attributes:Inclined to take charge, lead and influence peopleMotivated, pro-active and performance drivenTakes initiative and is innovativeAbility to perform well under pressureCoordinates tasks and eventsFocused on achieving targets and goalsCaring for individuals and their health & safetySense of responsibility and apt to take initiativeGood problem-solving skillsAble to lead, manage and coordinate a team #J-18808-Ljbffr
