You will have worked in the defence and/or shipbuilding sector and hence have a strong understanding of engineering processes/methodologies.This Project Management role will be working directly with our customer, the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to manage critical dependencies across the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) in accordance with the Program''s schedule and quality requirements.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.Key responsibilities include:Delivery: responsible for managing & driving the on-time delivery of critical Program dependencies including information, data, equipment, facilities and services.Issues Management: responsible for identifying and resolving issues. Drives integration across the Program to ensure critical issues are understood, prioritised and resolved.Stakeholder Management: extensive stakeholder management & communication ranging from technical/engineering to executive management.Commercial Management: responsible for managing commercials/contracts driving effective outcomes, which balance relationships, risk and accountabilities.Governance: responsible for driving effective governance outcomes with a data driven metrics approach which communicates status and issues effectively all the way up to an executive audience. Ability to step up and act as the 2IC for the Program Manager, when required.About YOUExceptional stakeholder and communications skills with ability to present to and converse with a broad range of stakeholders including the customer, senior executives and technical engineers.Strong commercial acumen having directly managed contracts and negotiations.Ability to navigate uncertain scope and large volumes of data to make sense of criticality and priority.Background in a technical or engineering discipline with a desire to move deeper into project management.
