This role involves end-to-end project management, including planning, stakeholder engagement, coordination of co-designed activities, and ensuring all milestones and outcomes are met. Youll work directly with employers, people with disability, and community partners to drive systemic change and open pathways to meaningful employment, particularly for autistic people and others with disabilities. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Inclusive Employment Pathways Project, managing the Work Prep Connect and Career Explorer programs, and supervising daily operations atSomewhere Nice, our purpose-driven op shop and caf. This highly collaborative role blends project management, workforce development, and leadership in a values-driven environment, with a strong focus on disability inclusion, co-design, and lived experience leadership.About UsThe Autism Advisory and Support Service (AASS),founded in 2007, empowers individuals with autism and their families through support, education, and opportunity. We operate two social enterprises offering employment skills and work experience programs.Somewhere Nice, our op shop and caf, creates inclusive employment and training opportunities for individuals with autism and other disabilities. All profits support our mission. Through programs like Work Prep Connect and Career Explorer, we provide hands-on hospitality and retail training in partnership with TAFE NSW and the local community.Somewhere Sensoryoffers affordable sensory tools that support regulation and participation in daily life. It also hosts skills development programs, including Career Explorer.About the RoleThe Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of theInclusive Employment Pathways Project,including:Coordinating training, workshops, and co-design activities across NSWManaging relationships with employers, community groups, and people with lived experienceLeading program delivery for Work Prep Connect and Career ExplorerSupervising part-time project staff and one casual Shop CoordinatorDriving in-store performance and supporting daily retail operationsEnsuring all initiatives are inclusive, culturally safe, and trauma-informedKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver all project milestones, training sessions, and co-design consultations on time and within budgetBuild strong networks with disability advocates, employers, and community groupsSupervise and support facilitators, peer mentors, and community engagement staffCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure the success of job readiness programsOversee shop operations, including volunteer management and retail strategyMonitor project outcomes, prepare reports, and implement continuous improvementAbout YouYou are an experienced and values-driven leader who thrives in dynamic, people-centred environments.
