DescriptionAWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, youll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.UC paragraphOur Region Services team redefines the way AWS designs, builds, and operates AWS regions to enable new AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Services offerings to customers across every industry and of every size, including start-ups, enterprises, and public sector organizations. We are actively seeking experienced Systems Development Engineers with a strong background in cloud operations.Must hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see job responsibilitiesDefine and/or refine system requirements, participate in the development and delivery of operability-related features such as system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self-healing automationDevelop or further existing application and system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiencyAdapt and improve operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid and increasing growth in systems and trafficParticipate in the design and execution of production acceptance tests and new hardware evaluationsMonitor the health of the fleet, automating system health, maintenance tasks, and reporting systems as neededParticipate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours.About the teamRegion Services provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for services within our Regions.
