This role is responsible for supervising a team of electricians and contractors, planning electrical works, and ensuring that maintenance is conducted efficiently to minimise operational downtime. They guide us in achieving our strategic goals and solidify our position as a leader in the industry.The RoleWe are seeking a safety-focused Electrical Supervisor to lead and coordinate the electrical function across our site. In this critical role, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the electrical team/maintenance team ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian Standards, company policies, and statutory regulations. You will oversee preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical systems and equipment, and ensure timely fault-finding and resolution to support continuous operations.Your area of responsibility will include managing, developing, and coaching a site-wide team of electricians working across a variety of systems including PLCs on Weir, Xylem, and Flood Lifter pumps, Westrac generators, a 2.5km jetty with conveyors, ship loader, and transhipper. You will also be instrumental in preparing for the upcoming construction of a Wet Wash Plant and future processing expansions.You will be responsible for ensuring robust electrical isolations, permitting, and the implementation of controlsparticularly around Substation Management, where you will establish and enforce clear access and operational protocols to prevent unauthorised entry by technicians.As the appointed Statutory Electrical Supervisor and electrical nominee on the in-house electrical licence, you will be the primary point of accountability for all site electrical compliance, reporting directly to the Site Executive Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous improvement, safe operations, and team development.About You:The successful candidate will hold a current WA Electrical Licence, along with a Statutory Supervisor Certification (WorkSafe/DEMIRS) and a solid understanding of the WHS (Mines) Regulations (WA) 2022. You will have completed the WHS Risk Management Unit for Electrical Supervisors and possess 710 years of experience in the electrical field, including at least 35 years working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems.You must hold a Current First Aid and CPR/LVR qualification. Demonstrated experience in leading a team with strong people management skills and knowledge of the employee life cycle is mandatory. You will be proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. The successful candidate must also have sound knowledge of safety and environmental management systems.
