This role is additionally key to the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our servers, networks, and related systems. The IT Systems Administrator will also support our business operations by providing technical expertise- implementing system improvements, and resolving escalated technical issues. Our ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset with the ability to manage complex environments in both on-premise and cloud-based systems.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, maintain, and monitor the organizations servers, network infrastructure, and cloud systems to ensure high availability and performanceAdminister user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other systemsTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the helpdeskPerform regular system updates, security patches, and backups to safeguard data and infrastructureSupport the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity best practices, including antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protectionCollaborate with IT team members on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system rolloutsMaintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and network diagramsEnsure compliance with organizational policies and relevant industry regulationsParticipate in disaster recovery planning and testing activitiesContinuously evaluate and recommend system improvements or automation opportunitiesSkills and experienceEstablished and proven hands-on experience in system administration or a similar IT infrastructure roleProven ability to manage and maintain servers, storage, and network devicesExperience in creating and maintaining system documentation and runbooksOperating Systems:Proficient in administering Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)Proficient in administering Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).Experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms.Microsoft Stack:Experience in managing Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environmentsExperience managing Exchange OnlineExperience with Microsoft IntuneNetworking:Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshootingIdeal desired skills, though not essential to your success:Operating Systems:Active Directory: Managing users, groups, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP.
