This role provides holistic, end-to-end case managementfrom intake to exitoffering advocacy, advice, and support. The focus is on helping clients access safe, stable, and affordable housing while addressing the underlying barriers that contribute to their housing instability.Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited toProvide responsive, person-centred case management to support young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.Develop, implement, and monitor case plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on realistic and needs-based goals.Coordinate referrals and advocate for clients to access appropriate services and supports.Support clients to build life skills, independence, and self-determination.Maintain accurate records and complete regular reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely and effective support.Assist with delegating tasks, managing service transactions, and attending relevant training and development activities.Take a lead role in team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.Essential Requirements:Diploma qualifications in community services, mental health, youth work or equivalent.Previous experience in case management or relevant work experience with young people.Current driver''s licenceNSW Working with Children Check (Service NSW)First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)What you need to succeed:Experience working with complex clients, including children and young people impacted by trauma, abuse, or neglect, with insight into the effects on behaviour and development.Familiarity with using outcomes measurement tools to track client progress and inform service delivery.Skilled in conducting assessments, making referrals, and connecting clients to appropriate support services.Solid understanding of child protection, as well as client vulnerabilities including substance use, mental health issues, and legal challenges.Knowledge of the complexities and impacts of domestic and family violence, including legal and social implications.Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload.Confident using office technology and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).In return we offer:Maximum allowable up to $18,550 salary packaging available (visitfor more information).Comprehensive induction training$500 referral bonus can be generously rewarded for referring a friend who joins Uniting.Affordable access to Fitness Passport discounted gym memberships to support your best life.Extensive opportunities for professional growth.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Should you have any questions, please contactKatarina from Unitings Talent AcquisitionTeam at kbarisic@uniting.orgfor more information.Applications will be reviewed as soon as they are received.Employment with Uniting is subject to satisfactory background checks, which include National Police Checks, Working with Children Checks and Reference Checks.Who is Uniting?When youre part of Uniting NSW.ACT, youre part of a diverse, purpose-led team of people who are really making a difference to the world around them.We contribute to the work and mission of the Uniting Church in NSW and the ACT through social justice advocacy, community services and spiritual care.
