In this role, you will manage mRNA projects, including sales and ordering, enquiries management, project scoping, project management, implementing project monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, documentation and final delivery of mRNA; ensuring project outcomes are delivered on time and within budget. You will also contribute to the strategy, marketing and communication campaigns to help grow the BASE mRNA facility.The BASE facility is building the next generation of mRNA vaccines and therapies to cure human disease. We are a non-profit research services facility located at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), the University of Queensland (UQ). We have a successful track record manufacturing mRNA according to the precise requirements of our academic, clinical and industry partners.Key responsibilities will include:Under broad direction, coordinating aspects of the mRNA project life-cycle, including sales, ordering, organising manufacture, and successful delivery of mRNA.Developing and implementing project-related standard operating procedures and assurance of standards and logistics.Coordinating the delivery of project-related activities, events, consultation activities and and meetingsCommunications with external customers and stakeholder communication to ensure successful engagement, planning and evaluation of mRNA projects.Coordinating with the Production Lead to ensure the reliable and timely delivery of mRNA projects.Manage sales activities, including invoicing, budgeting and managing customer relations.Developing project-relevant communication and marketing campaigns, including communication plans and social media content.Coordinate reporting requirements as required by internal stakeholdersProviding project management and subject matter advice to the Leadership Team on the efficient and effective delivery of project outcomes.Other project-related duties as requested by the supervisor.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play. You will have:Bachelor Degree in biomedical, pharmaceutical or life sciences with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or trainingProject Management and multi-tasking experience, with an agile and flexible approachCurrent knowledge of best-practice/leading project management methodologies and frameworksDemonstrated project planning experience, including the ability to prioritise tasks, work to tight deadlines, anticipate future requirements and resolve issuesDemonstrated problem solving skills using judgement and reasoning in interpreting situations and providing accurate and consistent adviceEffective interpersonal skills that enable effective working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholdersExcellent time management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities within tight timeframesAdvanced written and oral communication skillsPrevious experience working in a service role or in a research services facility is helpful.Previous experience in sales, marketing and communications is helpful.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, mandatory immunisations etc.You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
