Be a part of this dynamic and committed team of diverse water specialists and drive change for your community.Youll be able to apply our powerful global network of skills and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a Senior Civil or Mechanical Engineer with a track record in delivering water and/or wastewater projects in either networks or treatment plants, to utilise your experience to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our teams capabilities, and the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects for our clients.You will manage the design of small to medium sized projects as well as develop your technical skills by working as part of the design team or assisting the design manager for large projects. You will bring an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for delivering as part of a high performing team.You will play a key role in delivery of ambitious and interesting projects, allowing you a balance of technical work, design management, project management, operational support, business development and client engagement.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Delivering various and significant NSW, Australian and international water and wastewater projects (either networks or treatment plants), by understanding clients needs, providing technical guidance and support to the project team for small, medium and large-scale projects (capex in the 100s of millions)Technical leadership and project management to guide key projects and mentoring other team members.Using your technical and client relationship skills for the delivery of proposals, investigations and technical design projectsUnderstanding client and project technical requirements, assisting to develop solutions, and preparation of technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentationsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery.Working closely with our clients to develop innovative technical solutions in wastewater and water treatmentWhat you will bring to the team:Bachelors degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 8 or more years of relevant water or wastewater experience in either networks or treatment plantsThe ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycleStrong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposalsDesign or planning skills in water or wastewater networks or treatment, including producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructureExperience with using civil or hydraulic design software is preferableProject management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staffWe value wellness and flexibly, your role can be part-time or full-time, and you can be based in Newcastle or any of our other Northern NSW offices (Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tuggerah, Tamworth, Orange or Lismore).Interested?
