This is a senior leadership role focused on establishing SSIs presence in WA, building strategic partnerships, driving systemic change, and advocating for the needs and aspirations of multicultural communities. You will be instrumental in driving initiatives aligned with SSIs Impact strategy, identifying and building services that address the needs of Western Australians, and collaborating with purpose-driven organisations across to deliver meaningful change for people and communities. You will build and activate opportunities for programs and services, in collaboration with community, sector partners, government, philanthropic and corporate stakeholders.As the face of SSI in WA, you will champion social inclusion, cultural diversity, and economic empowerment by working with stakeholders across sectorsgovernment, not-for-profit, corporate, academia, and community. The role is critical in influencing public policy, co-designing responsive services, strengthening sector capacity, and leading advocacy and public engagement strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership and DevelopmentLead the establishment, impact, and visibility of SSI in Western Australia.Build and activate a pipeline of opportunities for programs and services, in collaboration with community, government, philanthropic and corporate stakeholders.Identify service gaps and innovation opportunities across the human services sector to extend SSIs value and impact.Stakeholder Engagement and RepresentationServe as the principal representative of SSI in WA, building and nurturing relationships with:Government and policymakers; Settlement and multicultural organisations; Community leaders and peak bodies; Philanthropic and corporate stakeholders.Program Development and Service Co-designLead collaborative initiatives to co-design culturally responsive services and programs with communities and partners.Engage with local stakeholders to identify emerging community needs, particularly in employment, recognition of qualifications, economic participation, and access to inclusive services.Source and mobilise resources, funding, and partnerships to enable sustainable and scalable solutions.Set up new service delivery operations and frameworks to establish a long-term SSI presence in WA.Sector Capacity Building and InnovationFacilitate research, symposiums, public forums, and knowledge-sharing activities that advance best practice.Support the development of joint policy papers and collaborative projects addressing systemic issues.Advocacy, Policy, and Public RelationsLead the development of policy submissions, position statements, and advocacy campaigns that reflect the voices and rights of multicultural and marginalised communities.Design and deliver targeted public relations strategies that build SSIs brand, reputation, and influence in WA.Key Selection CriteriaProven experience in a senior leadership role within the human services, multicultural, government, or not-for-profit sectors.Deep understanding of the multicultural landscape and systemic issues impacting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in WA.Demonstrated ability to develop and lead strategic partnerships, influence policy, and represent organisations at the highest levels.Strong track-record in co-designing programs and services in collaboration with community and sector partners.Demonstrated success in establishing new services, building pipelines for growth, and implementing initiatives aligned to SSIs strategic and social impact goals.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Experience in leading advocacy campaigns and public policy engagement.Strategic thinking with strong planning, execution, and change management capabilities.Commitment to SSIs vision, purpose, and values.Existing networks across the WA multicultural, government, or community sectors.Tertiary qualifications in social policy, community development, public administration, or related fields.What We OfferOpportunity to shape and grow SSIs presence in a new state.Flexible and supportive work environment.Access to salary packaging options to increase take-home pay.Work with a passionate, values-driven organisation committed to social justice and inclusion.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria to dsingh@ssi.org.au.
