This is a fixed term full time five (5) year appointment.Proven and future thinking experienced health executives are invited to apply for this career defining milestone role, leading the Transformation team and being an important contributor to the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Area Executive Group.The role provides strategic advice and support to the SMHS Chief Executive and is responsible for inspirational executive leadership in the research and development of contemporary, forward focussed and innovative organisational business strategies to ensure the SMHS has the culture and capability to meet current and future strategic organisational objectives and goals. With aspiration for delivering clinical excellence assured through QI, SMHS has recently entered into a contract with Virginia Mason Institute Seattle for the next 3 years a groundbreaking partnership first of its kind in Australia Virginia Mason Institute | Cultural Change & Healthcare Improvement. In conjunction with the rest of the Area Executive Group, our next Executive Director of Transformation will have a key stake in shaping and driving our quest for continuous improvement. The role also provides professional leadership, co-ordination, mentoring and advice on key research initiatives for clinical research within and across SMHS sites and services.The successful incumbent will work collaboratively as a member of the SMHS executive team to achieve the delivery of consumer focused, safe, high-quality, efficient and effective public health services to the wider SMHS catchment. Collectively, SMHS has over 11,000 staff and a $2.7 billion budget, with a service area stretching more than 3,300 square kilometres in the southern half of Perth and across Western Australia via statewide services.The Successful Candidate Will Need To DemonstrateAn exceptional track record of values driven successful executive leadership in a major healthcare setting;A passion for clinical excellence and the drive to ensure research into contemporary organisational development/transformation practices; and establish policies, strategies and frameworks to enhance SMHSs capability and business improvement.The ability to develop, implement and lead SMHS Innovation strategies and initiatives and implementation plans that build the right organisational capability and culture to deliver the SMHSs strategic outcomes; and,The energy and motivation to inspire others to excel.Want to know more?
