HealthX turnover has approached $100M in the last financial year.Role PurposeAs the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strong financial leadership and governance to the business operations. By promoting a culture of financial excellence, you manage the financial performance of the Group, comply with regulatory requirements, maintaining data and systems integrity to deliver accurate and timely financial information to key internal and external stakeholders.Key responsibilities include: lead and mentor team, accurate and reliable financial operations (especially payroll and client billing), financial planning and budgeting, cash management, insightful financial analysis, regulatory compliance (including audit and taxation), management and statutory reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Stakeholder Management Provide supervision, training and support to Corporate Services Team staff Conduct performance evaluations, support team development and positive team culture Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, IT & System support entities to ensure smooth functioning of division Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, including executives and board members Build strong relationships across the organisation to ensure strong collaboration, efficient communication and information flows to and from the Corporate Services Team Deliver insightful financial analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business performance Analyse client, product and business unit profitability Ensure timely and accurate weekly and monthly management reporting. Assist CFO with monthly Board report preparation and commentary Lead and manage the annual audit and statutory financial reporting Internal staff payroll processingPlanning and Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting and planning process with senior management Maintain close financial control of budget v actual execution and prepare well informed re-forecasts as required Participate in strategic planning initiatives and long-term financial modellingCompliance and Governance Ensure timely and accurate compliance with regulatory obligations Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory processes and reporting including to ASIC, ATO, OSR, General Insurance and Workers Compensation Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure other commercial obligations are met (e.g. Bank, lenders)Data, Systems and Processes Ensure integrity of financial information with strong internal controls, systems and processes (including reconciliations and supporting workpapers) Management of efficient, timely and accurate external payroll and client billing functions (including client charge rates) Management of efficient, timely and accurate internal payroll, bank reconciliation, PALM employee loans, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Oversee core systems and data integrityCash flow and Debt management Daily cash flow management including rolling forecasts Approval of bank disbursements for employee and supplier payments Minimum 5 years post-qualification (CA/CPA) with relevant experience leading high performance finance teams Experience managing and mentoring high performing teams in agile, high-growth environments High level skills in organisation, prioritisation and strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at varying levels to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, employees, team members and other stakeholders An unrelenting desire to solve problems and deliver solutions and results for stakeholdersUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
