What''s the roleThe Senior OT (Operational Technology) Security Engineer is responsible for the security and overall management of QGC Operational Technology. The incumbent will collaborate with vendors, contractors, and assets to set up and secure the OT landscape, create procedures, SOPs, and implement all security requirements.The role requires representing the OT Security discipline with an expert understanding of Control Systems, cyber risk management, and driving security program implementation.What you''ll be doingRoles and responsibilities:Create and maintain logical and physical network diagrams of OT components.Monitor and manage user access controls and profiles for servers and networks based on business approvals.Document OT security measures, ensure compliance, manage risk registers, and oversee EOL systems.Enforce access controls, manage system/user access (including remote), password policies, and ensure user competence.Monitor security alerts, review logs, manage antivirus and patches, handle incidents, and maintain disaster recovery and backups.Oversee OT systems including ICSS, Electrical, and PAS; review data communication security; manage vulnerabilities and supplier access securely.Evaluate and document security controls, manage audits, define remediation actions, and support lifecycle management.Provide input on OT architecture, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and support control system modifications and maintenance.Manage CSIT engineers across sites, conduct site visits, and ensure execution of maintenance processes.What you bringTo succeed, you will have:A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; relevant certifications are advantageous:Cybersecurity certifications like GICSP, CCNA, Windows MCSA, SSCP.Experience in a similar role supporting IT infrastructure and risk management.Knowledge of IEC 62443, OT environments (oil and gas, mining, utilities).Ability to travel to remote sites.Project management experience (desirable).Leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective communication in English.Background in IT support, firewalls, routers, switches, TCP/IP, ITIL processes; exposure to instrumentation/control, production, and operations is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure.Application deadline: August 11.What we offerJoin Shell to work with talented, committed people on global energy challenges.
