We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Centre Director for a small, 39 place, not for profit, community run childcare facility in Murwillumbah, NSW. As the Centre Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centre and providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children under our care.Responsibilities:1. Leadership and Management: Oversee the overall management of the childcare facility, including supervising staff, maintaining compliance with regulations, and promoting a positive workplace culture.2. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and educational programs that align with best practices and promote the holistic development of children.3. Childcare Administration: Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks of the centre, including enrolment, parent/guardian communication, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements.4. Staff Development: Provide guidance, support and professional development opportunities for the teaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in early childhood education.5. Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, staff and visitors by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular risk assessments.6. Parent/Guardians and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates and organising parent/guardian involvement activities. Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the committee on the day to day operation of the centre and its staff.7. Financial Management: Monitor and manage the centre''s budget, including revenue and expenses, to ensure financial sustainability and efficient resource allocation.Qualifications and Requirements: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ECT Experience developing, implementing and evaluating programs using the EYLF and National Quality Framework Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, best practices, and relevant regulations. Strong leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with children, staff, parents/guardians, and the wider community. Knowledge of financial management principles and experience in budgeting and resource allocation. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe environment for children.
