We offer a supportive, flexible and mission-driven workplace where your work makes a real difference.When you join us you will:Join a values-led, mission-driven team committed to excellence and careContribute to real quality improvement across aged careEnjoy a flexible and supportive work culture where wellbeing is prioritisedBe part of a respected and recognised voice in the aged care sectorYou will also benefit from:Working from any of the Ageing Australia locations - NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, WA, SA or TASFive weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata)Annual professional development budget to invest in your growthFlexible working options including working from homeAccess to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your familyPassionate team culture that celebrates each otherAbout The RoleAs Nurse Educator - Palliative Care Specialist, you will be leading the development and delivery of evidence-based, clinically relevant educational content to enhance access to and effective use of palliative care medicines across residential aged care and community settings.This is fixed term part-time contract till 30 June 2026, 4 days per week.Key responsibilities include:Education Content DevelopmentContribute to the development of educational content and training modules.Contribute to the design of learning materials focused on key issues such as polypharmacy, antimicrobial resistance and inappropriate use of medications.Collaborate with subject matter experts and clinical panels to ensure content accuracy, clinical relevance, and alignment with national best practice standards.Consumer & Clinical Co-DesignFacilitate co-design workshops and consultations with aged care residents, carers, and families.Gather insights through surveys, focus groups, and site visits to inform training needs and delivery models.Delivery & ImplementationDeliver education to healthcare professionals across residential aged care and community care, including those in rural, remote, and First Nations communities.Support CPD accreditation processes by working with relevant professional bodies.Project Collaboration & GovernanceParticipate in regular consortium and advisory panel meetings to inform module development and strategy.Provide clinical advice to PCA and partners on implementation approaches and stakeholder engagement.Evaluation & Quality ImprovementProvide data on baseline clinical literacy and participate in project-wide learning and improvement cycles.Apply evaluation findings to refine education offerings and improve learner outcomes.Communications & Stakeholder EngagementAssist with the development of communications strategies and content to promote awareness and uptake of the education modules.Represent Ageing Australia in consortium forums and external engagements.Skills and Experiences:About you:Hold a current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.Significant experience working in Aged and Community Care and education delivery (Hospital/Uni/Tafe/RTO).Knowledge, experience and an understanding of the Aged Services sector, key reforms and challenges.Highly developed knowledge of the principles of the adult learning journey and current trendsFace to Face & Online session presentation & training experienceExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and to build credibility with stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions and attend to multiple priorities.Excellent digital literacy skills, including competently using eLearning platforms and the Microsoft suite of products.Strong time management skills and ability to identify and risk manage possible barriers.Knowledge/experience of Moodle desirable.A desire for continuous improvement and willingness to get involved and to contribute towards a great working environment and a commitment to delighting Ageing Australia members.We require federal police check as an essential selection component for this role, please consider this requirement when submitting your application.Seniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typePart-timeJob functionJob functionHealth Care ProviderIndustriesHospitals and Health CareReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Ageing Australia by 2xSign in to set job alerts for Nursing Instructor roles.Were unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
