This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your legal career within a high-performing team to support Australias largest and most admired inflight caterer and the global leader in air services, dnata.More About This RoleAs a Junior Legal Counsel, youll play a critical role in supporting our business operations through legal advice, commercial contracting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with the General Manager, Legal & Company Secretary and internal teams to ensure dnata catering & retail meets both its legal obligations and business objectives.In a Nutshell, Your Main Responsibilities AreReview and draft various commercial contracts, respond to RFPs, and participate in contract negotiations;Provide ongoing advice on contract interpretation with respect to key clauses such as KPIs, service levels, and other forms of compliance;Advise on a broad range of regulatory and compliance risks;Support the Company Secretary with corporate governance and risk management initiatives; andAssist with the management of legal disputes, insurance claims, and engage with external legal counsel.What do you need to be successful in securing this role?Outstanding communication and presentation skills, strong commercial acumen, exceptional attention to detail and the motivation to develop legal skills across a broad range of matters.1 3 years post admission experience working with an in-house team or reputable law firm, preferably with experience in contract drafting and negotiation.Commerciality and the ability to balance the avoidance of legal risks, with the achievement of business objectives.Proven ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best for business outcomes and deliver accordingly.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders from the boardroom to the front-line.A growth mindset, pro-active approach to problem-solving, and familiarity with legal technology platforms and tools.Whats in it for you?Competitive salary.5 weeks annual leave.Career development and learning opportunities.Be part of a close knit and dedicated team that are committed to excellence.Discounts at hundreds of retailers, discounted health insurance, and wellbeing resources including online exercise classes.Access to our tailored Employee Novated Car Lease program.About UsWe are Australias largest and most admired inflight catering and retail partner.
