We are Australias largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.The OpportunityBased in St Marys NSW, we are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to coordinate and oversee quality control activities within our ASP HealthCare division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed safely and meet or exceed customer contractual requirements, particularly in relation to the supply and management of sharps disposal systems in compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.The role is responsible for ensuring all quality control processes, inspections, and post-inspection reporting are completed as required.Check raw materials (resins, colorants, additives) for compliance with specificationsVerify supplier documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COA)Inspect parts during production to ensure they meet dimensional, visual, and functional requirements.Monitor for defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks, warping, etcUse quality control tools like first-off checks, in-process sampling, and control plansConduct final checks before packaging/shippingEnsure labelling, packaging, and part count accuracyApprove or reject finished goods based on inspection resultsRecord inspection results in inspection logs or quality systemsCommunicate issues to production, quality officers and Quality ManagerGenerate standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ensure compliance with ISO standards or customer-specific quality systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001)About YouDemonstrated experience working in quality control/ inspector within manufacturing/production industry - preferable plasticsExperience in working in a production team environment efficiently and safelyHighly organised and excellent attention to detailUnderstanding of manufacturing/production processesDemonstrated knowledge of best practice quality controlDemonstrated knowledge of audit processes and QMS controlGood understanding of ISO 9001 Knowledge of AS 23907 or AS 4031 standards will be highly regardedCompetitive salary packageCareer opportunities in a high growth, Australian businessSupportive and safe work environmentGreat company benefits: Employee share program, company discounts, salary packaging, flu vaccinations, EAP, discounts on private health insuranceand more.Our ProcessOur recruitment process involves a number of checks including, but not limited to, criminal history, medicals, drug & alcohol testing, as well as verification of qualifications, licences and right-to-work status.We are dedicated to improving employment outcomes and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
