This is a senior level management role that leads teams of kitchen production staff, food inventory management and on site warehouses, driving productivity, safety and process improvements. They are results orientated and will require someone motivated by being hands on as well as communicating with executive stakeholders.Duties include:Ensure site safety and compliance with HACCP standards.Lead and support a high-performing team aligned with SecondBite | FareShares values.Drive operational excellence across production, inventory, and staffing.Deliver timely and accurate reporting on key operational metrics.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Food Inventory Coordinator to optimise meal production and inventory management.Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.Represent the organisation at executive, board, and media engagements.Champion employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.Ensure effective use of People & Culture processes across recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.Support integration of inventory and production planning through cross-functional collaboration.You bring to the role:Qualifications in business management, food production, or similar (essential)Extensive experience in food industry, especially production/kitchen and inventory managementStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsProven ability to build relationships across food industry levelsExperience with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processesExcellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesTrusted leader who leads by exampleStrong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skillsConfident representing SecondBite | FareShare externallySelf-motivated with a track record of achieving goalsSkilled in influencing and driving successful outcomesEffective at prioritising and resolving issues promptlyHolds self and others accountable for performance and behaviourPerks and BenefitsCompetitive remunerationGenerous salary packaging options up to $18,550 per yearAdditional paid leaveReward and Recognition programIf this is just what you are looking for in your next role and you meet the criteria above, apply via SEEK with a resume and cover letter outlining your fit for the position.Interviews will commence when suitable applicants are identified, so dont delay!Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:How many years'' experience do you have as a Head of Production?
