Find Your World.The LocationSurrounded by lush tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast offers over 295 guest rooms and suites, award winning restaurants and bars and over 14 conference and meeting spaces, all in an absolute beachfront environment.The RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to support the delivery of exceptional food and beverage experiences across our hotel venues.Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager, this role assists in the development and execution of departmental strategies, helping to align operations with brand standards and service initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting daily operations, enhancing guest and associate satisfaction, and helping the department meet financial and service goals.The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of food and beverage operations and applicable laws and regulations. You''ll assist in driving revenue, maintaining service excellence, and ensuring smooth coordination between all team members to promote efficiency and collaboration.This hands-on position involves supervising service standards, mentoring associates, and upholding hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe, courteous, and efficient environment.What we are looking forA team player to ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings).A leader to foster an atmosphere in all food and beverage areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.A passionate leader that sets expectations and holds the food and beverage leadership team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors.Previous experience with estimating food, liquor, wine and other beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned.Effective feedback to employees so they receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.A team player to sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for successful performance.Strong communication skills to liaise with other departments to improve the productivity of the hotel and enhance the Guests'' experienceA team player and hands-on leader with the ability to motive, engage and inspire a large teamA focus on fostering a strong company culture and valuesProficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel and WordPrevious experience with MICROS would be advantageousFlexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekend and holiday periodsMarriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
