Field Service Technician Underground Specialists FIFO/DIDOSandvik MiningService Technician (Underground Specialist) FIFO/DIDOAbout the opportunityWe are seeking skilled and enthusiastic HD Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our Field Service team, supporting key mining operations across Western Australia.As a Service Technician, youll play a vital role in providing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Sandviks Underground Loaders, Trucks, and Drills.Join a diverse and hands-on role where youll tackle mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, vehicle control systems, and cutting-edge automation systems in underground environments.This role offers a fly-in-fly-out arrangement from Perth on 8:6 Roster, with travel to different customer sites across WA.Roster: 8:6, 12hr day shift onlyResponsibilitiesTake charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times.Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements.Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.About youTrade-qualified HD Fitter or Auto ElectricianExperience with underground drill rigs, loaders, or trucksStrong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practicesProactive, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer literacy and ability to complete service documentationManual Drivers Licence (essential)Able to pass pre-employment medical, police, reference checks, and regular drug & alcohol testingHands-on experience with Sandvik underground loaders and trucks, including:Loaders (LH series): LH203, LH307, LH410, LH514, LH517i, LH621iTrucks (TH series): TH320, TH430, TH551i, TH663iFamiliarity with Sandvik underground drills, such as:Longhole or specialty drills: DS311, DS512i (bolters)Exposure to Sandvik AutoMine and OptiMine systemsWillingness to travel interstate or internationally for training and development opportunitiesAgencies need not apply.To be eligible for this role, you must have the right to live and work in Australia.
