They may be responsible for ensuring compliance with software licensing, Information Technology (IT) copyright obligations, and regulatory requirements, addressing any breaches as needed. The role includes risk management, system backups, disaster recovery, and data security.The successful applicant should provide technical advice on network issues, assist with CCTV enquiries, and work with the Departments IT Support to resolve hardware, software, and network problems. The Administrator is encouraged to contribute to system improvements by researching and implementing suitable IT solutions, which may involve customising software, installing updates, and ensuring optimal system performance. They should also be ready to respond to system failures promptly.The role may include training staff in the use of IT systems, ideally through one-on-one support and self-help resources. The Administrator may collaborate with staff to assess network needs and carry out routine maintenance, such as data backup, distribution, and retention.
