This is a permanent full-time position that would suit a skilled tradesperson with experience in a commercial/infrastructure environment.In this newly created and unique role, you will be responsible for ensuring Airport lighting and control systems, low & high voltage reticulation systems and baggage conveyor systems operate in a safe and efficient manner.Charlie is based at Gold Coast Airport; he shares his experience working with the company:Ive been with Gold Coast Airport for over three years now, and its been a great place to grow my skills as an electrician. The work is varied and keeps you on your toes, and the team culture is solid supportive, professional, and focused on doing things right. One of the biggest positives for me is the flexibility. The rosters are well-structured, but theres also room to balance work and family life, which makes a big difference.How Will You Make An ImpactThe successful candidate will be trade qualified and posses a minimum of 5 years experience working in a commercial/infrastructure related setting. The Electrical team is a small team which operates at a high cadence. Youll be afforded the opportunity to work on a rotating roster, 4 days per week and be required to remain on call from time to time.Key Deliverables/responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToEnsure all electrical equipment and systems operate in a safe and efficient mannerMinimise electrical equipment and electrical system downtimeCarry out electrical wiring/ installation work in compliance with current standardsAssist with training of the electrical apprenticesMaintain awareness of current electrical/wiring standards and airport specific standardsAid other workgroups/teams in a variety of tasks as instructedComplete regulatory electrical safety inspections (e.g. testing of hand operated power tools and testing of residual current devices)Complete routine maintenance procedures as specified by the Asset Management SystemEnsure electrical drawings are maintainedWhat we offer you?Were a progressive organisation with a great culture which considers Environmental, Social and Governance as a key value driver.Flexible working options are available for all employees.
