Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$95,187.00/yr - A$108,734.00/yrThe RoleAs a Quality Assurance Representative, working in Domestic Manufacturing Branch of the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group, in the Department of Defence, you will be working on some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force. It is expected that the successful candidate would have a base knowledge of Explosive Ordnance production and sustainment.The candidate would utilise their skills to:Conduct Audits and Quality Surveillance activities of manufacturing procedures, processes and products.Interpret the specification, drawings and requirements and ensure the Prime manufacturer complies with the product specification.Support investigations in Cause and Effect, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions to verify manufacturing issues that affect quality are appropriately addressed.Understand the implementation of statistical sampling as related to the specification requirements, understand all quality control stages (gauging, inspection & testing) and have a knowledge of defect control, treatment and segregation.Interpret statistical process control & implementation (control charts, UCL/LCL) to support production.Verify Lot Acceptance Tests are valid and interpret results.Support the processing of deviations and variations to enable product acceptance or rejection.About our TeamThe Large Calibre Manufacturing sub project is an integral part of the Domestic Manufacturing Branch (DMB), which is part of the new Guided Weapons Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Manufacturing Division.Our team consists of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services).
