BRW is a critical member of the Southern Shorthaul Railroad group of companies and as such performs maintenance work for some of the largest rail companies in Australia.BRW specialises in rail rolling stock;Maintenance and UpgradesAccident RepairsFull Strip-Down and OverhaulPaintingField Services and ProvisioningEmergency RecoveryAbout the roleDue to winning a new long term contract BRW is expanding the maintenance team to include a full time Project Coordinator-Night Shift to complete works based out of our Bendigo workshopsThe purpose of the role is to co-ordinate the night shift projects that have been awarded to BRW to ensure they are completed within the time frame allocated, with the budget allowed, safely and to a level to encourage future business from the customer.Key Responsibilities and Duties- Ensure all stock and/or equipment are ordered in line with allowances made in the tender process- Ensure timelines are managed and the project is completed on the customers expected date- Ensure all staff complete appropriate quality control and safety documentation- Ensure the customer is informed of progress during the project- Manage the project budget and provide weekly feedback to the project manager- Ensure appropriate resources are available for project prior to starting- Performance manage staff to ensure efficient production and all staff comply with BRW policies and procedures- Endorse the Ready To Go at the end of every project.Skills and Experience RequiredExperience in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001 accreditationExperience in managing projects including costings, purchasing and staffExperience in customer management and direct customer interactionMechanic or Electrician trade background desirableAbility to communicate effectively across all levels - staff, management & customersQuality focused, with a high attention to detailHighly skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookHold a current unrestricted Victorian Drivers LicenceHold a current National Police Check or willingness to obtain oneAbility to pass Rail Industry medical if/as requiredAbility to travel to various maintenance depots from time to time, as requiredUnderpinning the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will:Have a "safety first" attitude.Have a strong desire to learn.Have well-developed communication skills.Be a strong team player contributing to a positive team environment.Be an effective planner and organiser.Be able to work efficientlySet and achieve high standards of workmanship.How to applyPlease submit your up-to-date resume and a cover letter addressing the skills and experience required for the role.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:How many years'' experience do you have as a project coordinator?
