Only one position will be filled on merit.The role:Assist children and young people to recover from the effect of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support.Undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models.Undertake psychological assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised assessment methods.Provide therapeutic interventions, case management services and, if necessary, referrals to appropriate agencies.Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group programs and sessions for clients of Children and Young Persons Program (CHYPP) and Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS).Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of AppointmentPermanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.Location: North West - TasmaniaSalary:$110,425 - $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade schemeSalary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annumEligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of AustraliaRegistered with the Psychology Board of AustraliaWorking with Children RegistrationCurrent Drivers LicenceApplicants should note the following criteria are desirable:Registered Psychologist, giving eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society, with relevant tertiary qualifications and clinical experience in the human services sectorThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a preemployment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
