Our team is dedicated to the mission of CAWLS to enable, educate, and empower women in navigating the legal system, and ensure the respect and consideration of women''s rights.About the OpportunityCentral Australian Womens Legal Service (CAWLS) is looking for a part-time Human Resource Lead (3 days per week), working remotely.This newly created role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services and ensuring compliance with organisational values and policies.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding and exitProviding HR support, working with staff and management to address issues with sensitivity and confidentialityAssisting in performance management and development of training programsDeveloping, implementing and monitoring HR policies, ensuring legal complianceMaintaining accurate HR records and preparing reportsAssisting with payroll processesAbout YouTo qualify, you will need a relevant HR qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Human Resources), and a minimum of 3 years experience in a generalist HR role.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law and enterprise agreementsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential informationProactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently and in a teamAs our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a passion for creating inclusive and effective HR systems.
