So we can deliver on our pledge to donate 1% of the yearly profit to everyday Australians through the Lyone Foundation.More about what youll doReporting to the Northern Zone Operations Manager, the Team Manager will plan, direct and coordinate all functions within the departments of Inbound and Inventory to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of both areas. Taking responsibility for accurate timely inbound and movement of stock within the warehouse and DC to DC transfers.The Team Manager will also ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock and plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as perishable, DGS and sub warehouse.Coordination & SupervisionCoordinate, manage and monitor the workings of all inbound and inventory team membersPlanning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, of Supplier POs and Internal Company DC to DC Transfer; TOs.Ensure stock take processes are followed with Root Cause investigation, and solutions providedLead in SydneySupport to BrisbaneMaintains receiving, warehousing and distribution by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures are implemented and kept updated with process improvements.Tools & EquipmentManage maintenance of equipment and machinery including company owned vehiclesRecommend equipment investment to both support operational efficiency & reduce safety risksProvide technical support where necessaryCoordinating the use of automated and computerized systems where necessaryUsing space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and make sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are metHuman ResourcesPlanning the use of human resources. Organize recruitment, placement and induction of required staffEstablish department structuresDelegate tasks and accountabilities.Establish work schedulesCoach, mentor and supervise teamMonitor and evaluate performanceDaily huddles with department team membersImprove and maintain department KPIs by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job resultsMotivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceededStrategic InputLiaising with senior management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plansLiaise with Sales & BST on new business opportunities & customer reviews to improve both customer experience and net GPMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesPlan future capacity requirementsSafety & ComplianceComply with deferral, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislationEnforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actionsSafeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocolsMaintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safelyMore about youTo be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of storepeople in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast moving products at high volume.
