Youll work with world-class facilities and collaborate with global experts to deliver impactful, science-based solutions.About the OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and talented climate scientist to join the Environmental Change Program within the Environment Research and Technology Group at ANSTO. In this role, you will conduct original, high-quality research using nuclear and isotopic techniques to advance understanding of climate change and environmental processes, and inform mitigation strategies.You will provide specialised scientific and technical expertise aligned with ANSTOs research priorities, and contribute to the development of innovative methodologies and data products. They will apply advanced knowledge in climate science to support the development of mitigation strategies, including the refinement of climate models and predictive tools for strategic planning and policy development. The role involves producing high-impact research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications, conference contributions, and applied materials such as technical reports and stakeholder-facing resources. The candidate will provide expert scientific advice and services to support nationally significant environmental initiatives, and take a leading role in addressing complex scientific challenges through the development of new methods and experimental capabilities.
