Job Description

The CEO is accountable for the day-to-day operations and overall administration of the NDIA. The CEO is responsible for executing the strategic direction set by the NDIA Board and Minister, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to participants and sustainability of the NDIS.Delivering these reforms requires strong and collaborative leadership to drive a significant uplift in organisational capability. Major transformations in service delivery, workforce development, and ICT systems are underway to meet the government''s reform objectives.The key duties of the position include:Operational Leadership & Strategy ImplementationLead the execution of NDIS policy set by the Minister and Board.Oversee all aspects of service delivery, finance, integrity and stakeholder engagement.Establish a clear strategic vision and inspire others to work towards it.Articulate a clear direction for the organisation.Stakeholder Collaboration & EngagementWork collaboratively with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (as the NDIS policy lead) and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (as the regulator).Build and manage relationships with Commonwealth, State/territory officials.Implement co-design and engagement activities with the disability sector.Culture & Organisation LeadershipDrive an inclusive culture which encourages employment and support of people with a disability at all levels of the Agency.Shape the NDIAs culture by fostering inclusive leadership and promoting accountability.This role requires an experienced leader with a rare blend of expertise in delivering large-scale, complex service delivery, including transformational change.Key capabilities include public sector stewardship, financial management, stakeholder collaboration, and a strong sense of empathy.This role requires an experienced leader with a rare blend of expertise in delivering large-scale, complex service delivery, including transformational change. The CEO is required to demonstrate a high level of judgement and a high standard of professional and personal integrity.
