The team delivers all software testing globally across Nuix, including:- System Test (ST)- System Integration Testing (SIT)- Performance and Non-Functional Testing- Test Automation- Test Data Management- End-to-End Solution TestingThe role is accountable to drive a culture of continuous improvement in testing practices that supports Nuix'' software development practices and philosophy of "always releasable" software, which includes high levels of automation and use of modern and efficient test tools, frameworks and practicesThe group is accountable for enabling scrum teams to deliver high quality software at pace leveraging efficient agile principles, comprehensive testing methodology and automationContinual review and revision of quality engineering KPIs to ensure teams and processes are highly effectiveExecute the quality engineering strategy and roadmap that uplifts the technical capability across NuixManage the relationship with the quality engineering teams (vendors and Nuix staff) across all locations where Nuix engineering staff are basedResponsible for establishing, managing and maintaining vendor partnerships. This includes fostering strong working relationships at all levels (account management through to engineers), that contracted scope and strategic goals are met, and identifying opportunities to leverage the breadth and depth of partner capabilities.Make informed commercial decisions that meet organisational quality engineering needsEnsure that the quality engineering brand characterises the Nuix core values, and build advocacy with internal teams, driving a positive and measurable change for the benefit of Nuix customersThis is a flexible working opportunity, however due to the leadership nature and need to interface with vendors, this role will be based in Sydney and require working from the office for a minimum of 3 days per weekSkills, Knowledge and Expertise7+ years managing Quality Engineering teams with proven experience in testing best practices, testing frameworks, test data management and continuous integration practices.Seasoned leader with experience in managing and developing quality engineering teams within a technology organisationHighly experienced in working with and managing vendor partnersHighly experienced in working with and managing offshore teamsFamiliarity with agile development and continuous integration practicesStrong knowledge in testing best practices, test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and testing frameworksKnowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWSStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with functional teams both inside and outside of the Software Engineering organization, including Product Management, Program Management, Sales Consulting and Product SupportAbility to balance technical and leadership responsibilities effectively.Passionate about leadership, collaboration and innovation.Encourage and promote diversity in the team, and act as a role model to enable, engage and motivate the team to perform at their highest levelCoach and develop your leadership team to succeed in all aspects of their roleOur VisionFinding Truth in a Digital WorldOur MissionNuix creates innovative software that empowers organizations to simply and quickly find the truth from any data in a digital world.
