Butler Partners is looking to fill multiple ENTRY LEVEL & EXPERIENCED positions at ourGladstoneoffice. We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic people with the willingness to learn and gain real life experience as either an ASSISTANT or EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN in the Construction Materials Testing sector. The company will provide career growth through external training courses that are completed in work hours with on-the-job training.As an soil technician you will be supervised by senior staff and instructed by the Laboratory Manager. The position will require you to assist in soil, concrete and aggregate sampling and preparation practices, laboratory testing and assisting field technicians on local or remote infrastructure projects, laboratory preparation and testing across our scope of accreditation and in accordance with AS1289, Qld Main Roads, AS1012 & AS1141. All duties will be supervised under the company management systems and legislation requirements.Butler Partners Regional is an established geotechnical, geo-environmental, and groundwater consultancy practice and construction materials testing expert distinguished by our quality focus and reputation for outstanding professional expertise. Across our seven offices, the Butler Partners Group works on a wide range of high-profile resource/mining, infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential projects and complex built and natural environment challenges with major clients.About the RoleAssist in soil preparation practices, basic laboratory testing, field sampling in a timely manner.Help prepare samples for processing and laboratory testing.Work and communicate in a team environment.Ensure an excellent quality of standards is always maintained.Key DutiesPerformance and calculation of routine tests, data entry and verification of data in the required format.Complete sampling and testing in a timely manner were instructed by the Laboratory Manager.Ensure an excellent quality of standards is always maintained when operating in the laboratory or field.Undergo training where necessary (internal and external).Work in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.Ensure that the laboratory work areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.Key RequirementsCurrent drivers license.Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening.Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).Physically fitable to lift heavy loads repeatedly.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.Why Join Us?Career development through external training.Exposure to high-profile projects.Supportive and professional team environment.If youre ready to take the next step in your career, apply today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
