Opportunity to gain exposure across our high paced, high volume kitchen outlets.You''ll perform a high variety of tasks as assigned by Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a skilled, efficient, safe and hygienic manner.As a Cook you will play a vital role in the day to day kitchen operations.Preparing and cooking & serving of food according to recipes and menu specificationsAssisting with food prep and mise en place before serviceOperating kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyEnsuring food is cooked and presented to consistent quality standardsFollowing food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness proceduresCommunicating effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teamsWork in the kitchen as directedMaintain your self appearance in accordance with the hotels grooming standardsMaintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team with respectComply with all of the established hotel operational policies & proceduresPerform any other duties as directed.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in a similar kitchen role or food services roleAbility to work autonomously & under directionAbility to work well under pressure and adapt to changing prioritiesPractical cooking skills and a good understanding of kitchen operationsAbility to work under pressure and maintain speed during busy service periodsAttention to detail and a focus on quality and consistencyTeamwork, reliability, and a positive attitudeBasic knowledge of food handling and safety standardsA passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to be part of a dynamic teamAvailability to work a flexible roster across 7 days including late nights & Public HolidaysYou will need your own transport to get to work as we are not on a public transport routeMust have the legal right to work in AustraliaBenefits & Perks: Incredible team member discounts from your first day on-the-job. 50% off stays at EVT hotels Rydges, QT, Atura, Lylo and more. $2 movie tickets, plus Moonlight, Gold Class, Candy Bar discounts and more.
