Specialising in the delivery of a wide range of quality social services including aged care, disability care, counselling, psychology, family relationship support and mediation and domestic and family violence response.CatholicCare Central Queensland offers diverse and rewarding careers in busy and dynamic environments.Primary ObjectiveAs a member of the Home and Yard Maintenance Team, Yard Maintenance Field Officers are responsible for:Providing information to clients regarding available program services and assessing client eligibilityPerforming a variety of yard maintenance tasks, such as lawn mowing, general gardening, and pruningUndertaking minor home maintenance duties, including rubbish removal, gutter cleaning, outdoor house washing, driveway cleaning, and small-scale repairsReferring clients to appropriate services and escalating matters to senior program staff where needed to address client needs and support the programs long-term financial sustainabilityQualifications and ExperienceRelevant horticulture qualifications and/or extensive experience in a similar roleCurrent C or CA class Drivers license (QLD)Core CompetenciesProficient in the use of professional mowing equipment, including Zero-Turn ride-on mowersDemonstrated experience with professional trimming and pruning toolsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasksStrong professional communication skills with both internal team members and external stakeholdersEffective time management and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and service requirementsSound understanding of basic computing concepts and the ability to use digital tools relevant to the roleOther RequirementsGood physical fitness and capacity to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasksBasic oral and written communication skills for interacting effectively with staff, clients and members of the publicKnowledge of established work practices, procedures, and techniques relevant to the roleDeveloping understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the workplaceAbility to identify, report, and respond to incidents and hazards promptly and appropriatelyCommitted to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a client-focused approachThe successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.This position requires the completion of an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.What to Do NextTo apply for this position, please submit the following documents:Your current resumeA cover letter clearly addressing the requirements of the roleApply today for a career that changes lives!Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Do you hold a current Qld Drivers Licence?
